Passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs? This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to make a lasting impact with a dedicated group of middle school learners. Beginning August 13, 2026 and continuing through June 3, 2027, youll work Monday through Friday from 7:15am to 3:15pm in a supportive and rewarding school environment.

Your classroom will have a caseload of 12 students with mild to moderate exceptional needs in a self-contained setting, with three additional self-contained classrooms in the school. Youll collaborate closely with colleagues and families, fostering an inclusive and positive learning atmosphere each day.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience in an EC (Exceptional Children) setting preferred
• Understanding of IEP development, implementation, and data collection
• Ability to manage behaviors using positive behavioral supports
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Committed to creating individualized, strengths-based lesson plans

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver differentiated instruction tailored to each student
• Write, update, and monitor IEPs, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with student needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents/guardians to optimize student growth
• Effectively manage and document student progress
• Create a safe, supportive classroom that encourages student independence and engagement
