A passionate, experienced Special Education Teacher is needed for a full-time contract position in a resource setting classroom, serving learners in 1st through 4th grades. In this position, youll work closely with a team of fellow case managers, 1:1 paraprofessionals, and behavior analysts. The caseload is manageable, as student numbers are evenly divided among three case managers. Your expertise will support students unique learning needs, ensuring they reach their academic and developmental goals. Occasional push-ins into general education classrooms and close collaboration with school staff are integral to this role.
Qualifications:
- Valid NH Educator Teaching Certification
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, specifically working with 1st through 4th grade students
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to create and implement differentiated lesson plans in a resource classroom
- Positive, solution-oriented approach to working with students, families, and colleagues
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 15-20 students in 1st through 4th grades
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Provide specialized instruction in the resource setting, with some push-in support to general classrooms
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, behavior analysts, and general education staff
- Track and report student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records
- Participate in pre/post planning as required
