Qualifications:

  • Active Kentucky special education teaching license required
  • Experience with K-12 students in elementary, middle, or high school is preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management abilities
  • Compassionate, flexible, and dedicated to fostering inclusive educational experiences

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students unique needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to promote student success
  • Provide direct instruction, interventions, and accommodations within self-contained and/or inclusive classroom settings
  • Track student progress, maintaining accurate and compliant documentation
  • Communicate regularly with families about student goals and achievements
  • Foster a positive, encouraging classroom environment that supports learning and social-emotional growth
