Job Description

Your primary responsibility will be to provide onsite instructional support in Math and ELA to middle and high school students during two distinct periods within the academic year. The ideal candidate will hold an active PEL with LBS1 endorsement and possess a strong understanding of special education principles and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement
  • Current Illinois Special Education licensure
  • Previous experience teaching students in middle or high school preferred
  • Deep knowledge of instructional strategies for Math and ELA
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Math and ELA instruction to assigned caseload of middle school students from approximately November 20, 2026, to March 10, 2027
  • Provide similar instruction to high school students from approximately February 4, 2027, to May 7, 2027
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students needs
  • Monitor, document, and communicate student progress to stakeholders
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners
