Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred)
• Current, valid teaching license in Special Education for Massachusetts
• Previous classroom or resource room experience with students who have IEPs
• Understanding of various disabilities and the ability to adapt instruction accordingly
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Provide direct instruction and support to students in various settings (pull-out, inclusion, or small group)
• Modify curriculum and assessments to address diverse learning styles and abilities
• Monitor, assess, and document students progress toward educational goals
• Work closely with other educators, specialists, and families to promote student success
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff development sessions
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
