A fulfilling opportunity awaits for a dedicated Special Education Teacher ready to inspire young learners in a supportive school environment. This onsite, full-time contract role runs from 8:00AM to 2:30PM and begins as soon as possible, continuing through June 25, 2026. Youll be working closely with 2nd and 3rd grade students who have developmental delays or intellectual impairments, delivering meaningful instruction and support at a site committed to inclusive education.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Massachusetts license/certification in Special Education, with authorization for Moderate or Severe Disabilities
• Demonstrated school-based Special Education teaching experience
• Thorough knowledge of instructional strategies, IEP development, and individualized support
• Ability to pass all required background checks (CORI and fingerprintingletter of suitability from previous employer may be accepted)
• Commitment to fostering a positive, engaging atmosphere for students with diverse needs
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to 2nd and 3rd graders according to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adapt curricula and teaching methods to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities
• Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, adjusting goals and strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate classroom records and documentation aligned with state and district standards
• Proactively partner with support staff, therapists, and families to deliver cohesive, wraparound services
• Ensure a safe and nurturing classroom setting that promotes confidence and growth
