Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting 2nd and 3rd grade students by providing specialized instruction and guidance in a well-respected educational setting. This full-time, contract position offers an opportunity to collaborate with dedicated professionals working with children who have developmental delays or intellectual impairments. Youll be onsite, serving as a key resource to ensure student progress and well-being.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Massachusetts licensure in Special Educationeither Moderate or Severe Disabilities
  • Prior experience delivering special education services in a school-based setting
  • Strong understanding of instructional strategies for students with developmental or intellectual disabilities
  • Ability to pass CORI background check and submit fingerprints (letter of suitability from a previous employer may be accepted)
  • Comfortable working 8:00AM-2:30PM, Monday through Friday
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to a dedicated caseload of 2nd and 3rd grade students
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet each students unique needs
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and staff to support student achievement
  • Monitor, assess, and document student progress, adapting instructional approaches as needed
  • Support positive classroom management and foster an inclusive learning environment
  • Engage in professional development and ongoing communication with colleagues
