This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher position based in Holden, MA, serving a 7th-grade middle school classroom. The contract runs for the current school year and requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, five days a week.
Qualified candidates must hold a valid Special Education (SPED) certification for Massachusetts and a severe endorsement. Experience working with middle school-aged students and a strong commitment to supporting diverse learning needs are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique learning requirements.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting instructional methods as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with families and school administration.
- Provide a safe, supportive, and structured learning atmosphere for students with disabilities.
