Job Description

This contract opportunity lets you focus on what matters mostempowering middle school or elementary students through personalized instruction and inclusion, all while working within a single school setting.

Youll choose between two rewarding positions:

  • Work with 6th8th grade students in a self-contained classroom (caseload of 10, no severe disabilities), or
  • Support K2 students in an inclusion environment (caseload of 12).

Enjoy the flexibility and focus of full-time hours with all interviews conducted remotely. Youll have the resources needed to succeed, including district-provided supervision and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

  • Valid Georgia Special Education Teaching License with Special Education Adapted Curriculum certification
  • Previous experience teaching special education in similar settings preferred
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to inclusive education
  • Ability to adapt curriculum and foster supportive learning environments

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Provide differentiated instruction in accordance with inclusion or self-contained models
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Engage in school-based meetings, training, and professional development
