Located near Forest Lake, MN, this contract position offers you the chance to make a significant impact from August 31, 2026, through June 4, 2027. What youll bring:
- Valid Minnesota Teaching License in EBD (Emotional/Behavioral Disorders), ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), or ABS (Academic and Behavioral Strategist)
- Experience supporting at-risk students and customizing learning plans
- Demonstrated strength in behavior support and intervention
- Enthusiasm for teaming with fellow educators and related service providers
- Willingness to work onsite, Monday through Friday (7:15 AM3:15 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)
- Capacity to support a high school caseload with compassion and adaptability
- Out-of-field licensure candidates welcomed with district support
What youll do:
- Develop and adapt lesson plans according to individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Foster an inclusive, safe, and encouraging classroom environment
- Implement effective behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and IEP conferences
