Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (state-specific requirements apply)
- Degree in Special Education or related field
- Experience designing and implementing IEPs
- Strong understanding of a range of disabilities and learning styles
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with current educational technology and adaptive resources
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction aligned with students IEPs
- Assess student progress and adjust strategies to promote success
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create a cohesive support network
- Maintain accurate records and provide ongoing documentation for each student
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights
- Create a safe, positive, and encouraging classroom environment that meets all compliance standards
