Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate (preferably with Learning Disabilities, Emotional Impairment, Cognitive Impairment, or Early Childhood Special Education endorsements)
- Experience teaching or supporting K-12 students in either self-contained or resource classrooms
- Must submit official university transcripts before selection
- Willingness to work onsite in an urban district (not open to virtual roles)
- Comfortable managing varied caseloads, including Cognitive and Emotional Impairments and Learning Disabilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction in self-contained or resource settings (max 22 students)
- Provide academic and emotional support to students with Cognitive Impairments (K-12), Emotional Impairments (Middle School), and Learning Disabilities
- Adapt curriculum and manage behavioral interventions based on student IEPs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain communication with families
