Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state certification in Special Education
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
- In-depth understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to adapt lesson plans to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, parents, and external professionals
- Passion for fostering a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to each students unique needs
- Provide direct instructional support to students in a resource room or other settings as required
- Collaborate with general education teachers and other specialists to modify curriculum and instruction
- Advocate for student success, promoting a culture of inclusion and respect
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
