Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current and valid Massachusetts Teaching Certification is required
- Special Education teaching experience highly valued
- Strong background in science, with expertise in Chemistry instruction
- Proven ability to differentiate instruction and support diverse learning needs
- Positive communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with school teams
- Comfortable with managing caseloads of high school aged students
- Commitment to maintaining high educational and ethical standards
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging Chemistry lessons tailored for 11th and 12th graders
- Adapt instruction for students with varying abilities, ensuring all can access the curriculum
- Utilize Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to guide student support and measure progress
- Maintain regular communication with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in professional development and district training sessions as required
- Create a respectful and inclusive classroom culture
- Complete school onboarding and any necessary pre-employment requirements, including fingerprinting
