Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current and valid Massachusetts Teaching Certification is required
  • Special Education teaching experience highly valued
  • Strong background in science, with expertise in Chemistry instruction
  • Proven ability to differentiate instruction and support diverse learning needs
  • Positive communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with school teams
  • Comfortable with managing caseloads of high school aged students
  • Commitment to maintaining high educational and ethical standards

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging Chemistry lessons tailored for 11th and 12th graders
  • Adapt instruction for students with varying abilities, ensuring all can access the curriculum
  • Utilize Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to guide student support and measure progress
  • Maintain regular communication with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Participate in professional development and district training sessions as required
  • Create a respectful and inclusive classroom culture
  • Complete school onboarding and any necessary pre-employment requirements, including fingerprinting
