Ideal Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license is required
- Previous experience teaching or supporting students with special needs in a school setting
- Proficient in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Familiar with differentiated instruction, behavior management, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with families, colleagues, and support staff
- Comfortable leveraging technology for instruction and documentation (especially for virtual candidates)
- Flexible and adaptable approach to meet evolving student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction based on each students IEP goals
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress, updating plans as necessary
- Implement strategies for behavioral and academic success
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and challenges
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service staff to support inclusive practices
- Attend IEP meetings and participate in ongoing professional development
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations for special education
