Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current state certification or eligibility as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience supporting students in resource classrooms, particularly at the middle school level
- Knowledge of IEP processes, accommodations, and collaborative teaching models
- Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs
- Provide targeted instruction and interventions in alignment with each learners IEP goals
- Foster academic, social, and emotional growth through differentiated teaching strategies
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student success across settings
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Act as a resource and advocate for students, ensuring they receive appropriate accommodations and supports
