Job Description

This full-time, onsite contract role focuses on serving students in a self-contained classroom, with a particular emphasis on those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
  • Design and deliver differentiated instruction using evidence-based practices for students with ASD
  • Create a structured classroom environment supporting communication, behavior, and sensory needs
  • Utilize data collection and progress monitoring tools to inform instruction and guide interventions
  • Collaborate with special education staff, general education teachers, therapists, and families
  • Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and positive behavior supports
  • Support students in building communication, social, and life skills
  • Maintain full compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
  • Approval as a School Social Worker in Michigan
  • Thorough understanding of MTSS, trauma-informed practices, and social-emotional learning
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of background check and drug screening
