Job Description

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification/license
  • Experience working with students in Pre-K, Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle, and/or High School settings
  • Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction for various learning needs
  • Background or comfort teaching Math and supporting individualized education plan (IEP) goals
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Patience, flexibility, and a passion for helping every student succeed
  • Experience collaborating on IEP teams and with related service providers is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored for students with diverse learning needs across multiple grade levels
  • Work one-on-one and in small groups to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development
  • Utilize progress monitoring techniques and adapt instruction accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records and collaborate in developing IEPs
  • Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Liaise with teachers, therapists, and families to optimize student growth
  • Deliver specialized instruction and interventions, particularly in Math
