A position is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in intensive autism classrooms for K-5 students. This role requires travel to Fairfield, CT, where you will provide specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of children with intensive autism.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with intensive autism.
• Deliver specialized teaching and support to K-5 students within an intensive autism classroom setting.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapists, counselors, and families to ensure holistic student development.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting strategies to meet evolving needs.
• Maintain detailed records in compliance with educational standards.

Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure as a Special Education Teacher.
• Experience working in intensive autism or special education classrooms preferred.
• Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorder and effective teaching strategies.
• Ability to manage a caseload and maintain organized documentation.
• Willingness to travel to the assigned school locations in Fairfield, CT.
