A rewarding opportunity is available for dedicated Special Education Teachers to support students in both middle and elementary school settings. These full-time contract positions are critical in providing personalized educational support to students with diverse learning needs during the 2026-2027 school year in Fairfax, SC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to middle school students in a resource room setting, supporting 12-15 students with individualized learning plans
- Provide resource support to 15-18 elementary students, adapting curriculum to meet varied educational needs
- Teach in a self-contained elementary classroom consisting of approximately 8 students, ages 4 to 8, with special educational requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective educational strategies
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with educational standards
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with middle and elementary-aged students in special education settings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to create inclusive and supportive learning environments
- Commitment to student success and individualized instruction
