Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with students from Early Childhood to Grade 12, including K-5, 6-8, and 9-12 settings
  • Strong background in differentiated instruction, with a focus on math for various grade levels
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs and abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with families, support staff, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to individualized education plans (IEPs) and inclusive classroom practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to a range of age groups and learning abilities
  • Deliver engaging math instruction while modifying content for student needs
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Prepare and maintain accurate educational records, including IEPs and progress reports
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth and participation
