Bring your expertise and passion for Special Education to a part-time contract opportunity in the Everett, WA area. This engaging, in-person role calls for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students and classrooms within a collaborative school environment, beginning as soon as possible through June 12, 2026.
In this unique .5 FTE position, youll initially focus on providing tailored support for one student, working one day a week for a few hours. As the assignment progresses and the students needs evolve, youll have the rewarding chance to increase their school participation and extend your assistance to other Special Education students and classrooms. Your role will be pivotal in fostering inclusive learning and making a meaningful impact on each students educational journey.
Qualifications:
- Valid Washington Special Education (SPED) License and Certification required
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in K-12 settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEPs, differentiated instruction, and behavioral intervention strategies
- Effective collaboration and communication skills with staff, students, and families
- Ability to adapt to evolving schedules and student needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support for a designated student, with opportunities to assist additional students
- Collaborate with colleagues to implement IEP goals and modify classroom activities
- Maintain detailed documentation pertaining to student progress and educational plans
- Assist in developing strategies to increase student participation and success
