Qualifications:
- Valid Washington Special Education Teaching License
- Early Childhood Special Education Certification required
- Demonstrated experience supporting preschool-aged children with diverse learning needs
- Strong skills in developing and adapting Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- In-person availability for the entirety of the contract
Responsibilities:
- Deliver developmentally appropriate special education instruction in a preschool classroom
- Assess students abilities and create individualized learning plans
- Partner with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to support well-rounded growth
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation for progress monitoring and reporting purposes
- Participate in IEP meetings, team collaboration, and ongoing professional development
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment where every child can succeed
