Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington Special Education Teaching License
  • Early Childhood Special Education Certification required
  • Demonstrated experience supporting preschool-aged children with diverse learning needs
  • Strong skills in developing and adapting Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • In-person availability for the entirety of the contract

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver developmentally appropriate special education instruction in a preschool classroom
  • Assess students abilities and create individualized learning plans
  • Partner with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to support well-rounded growth
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation for progress monitoring and reporting purposes
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team collaboration, and ongoing professional development
  • Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment where every child can succeed
