Make a meaningful impact supporting high school students as a contract special education teacher working with grades 9-12 in a dynamic school environment near Evansville, WI. Youll manage a cross-categorical caseload of 10-12 students, applying your expertise and compassion to help learners of varying abilities reach their goals.
Key Requirements:
- Valid Wisconsin Special Education (SPED) licensure (required)
- Experience supporting high school students (grades 9-12) preferred
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of disabilities and learning needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students IEP goals
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to fit each students unique needs
- Monitor student progress, track documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service professionals, and families
- Create a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment
- Manage compliance with state and federal regulations in all aspects of special education
