Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with special education teacher endorsement
• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally with primary (K-1) students
• Strong collaboration, communication, and classroom management abilities
• Ability to implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) and adapt instruction to student needs
• Up-to-date knowledge of best practices, state regulations, and accommodations for students with disabilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction to assigned kindergarten and first-grade caseload
• Assess student needs and progress, supporting IEP goals and fostering academic and social development
• Collaborate with families, staff, and related service professionals
• Maintain organized records, ensure regulatory compliance, and advocate for each student's needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom community
