Qualifications:
- 1-5 years of teaching experience preferred
- Valid LBS1 Teacher Certification required
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and support students in K8th grade with a range of learning abilities
- Adapt and modify instructional materials to accommodate student needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs according to state and federal guidelines
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and parents
- Track student progress and prepare regular reports
- Utilize effective classroom management strategies to create a nurturing atmosphere
