Key Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina special education teaching license (required)
- Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or closely related field
- Experience working with students in inclusive and specialized settings (preferred)
- Strong communication skills and ability to adapt instructional methods
- Dedicated, organized, and enthusiastic about student success
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Deliver engaging instruction tailored to students unique needs and abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to develop inclusive classroom environments
- Foster positive relationships with families to support students academic and behavioral growth
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and attendance
- Actively participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
- Provide guidance, encouragement, and advocacy for students of varying abilities
