Job Description

This opportunity is available for experienced Special Education Teachers dedicated to supporting students with diverse learning needs in an educational setting. Positions are open for full-time resource teachers and self-contained teachers for the 2026/2027 school year, serving elementary and middle school students.

Available roles include:

  • Middle School Resource Teacher: Supporting 12-15 middle school students through tailored educational plans and interventions.
  • Elementary School Resource Teacher: Providing targeted support to 15-18 elementary students requiring resource assistance.
  • Elementary School Self-Contained Teacher: Leading a classroom with 8 self-contained students aged 4 to 8, delivering specialized instruction in a focused environment.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification.
  • Experience working with elementary and/or middle school learners with diverse needs.
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Collaborative approach to working with students, families, and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess student abilities and design appropriate instructional strategies.
  • Modify curricula to meet individual learning requirements.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory standards.
