Job Description

Make a difference this summer by providing essential support to students as a Special Education Teacher for the Extended School Year (ESY) program. Enjoy part-time hours in a stunning mountain community while guiding elementary-age learners in a supportive, well-resourced environment. This position is scheduled for half-days from June 1 to June 25, Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 am to noon. With panel interviews starting soon, this is a fantastic opportunity for passionate educators ready to step in and make an impact.

What Were Looking For:

  • Valid CDE SSP license required
  • Experienced or certified in special education instruction, especially with elementary school students
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
  • Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and ability to tailor instruction to diverse needs
  • Flexibility to work on-site and engage students during summer programming
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated special education instruction during ESY sessions
  • Assess student needs and progress, tracking goals outlined in IEPs
  • Collaborate with administrators and support staff as needed
  • Maintain accurate attendance and progress records
  • Cultivate a positive, motivating, and safe learning space for every student
