Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education required
- Active New Mexico Special Education Teacher certification
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Successful completion of background check and drug screening
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction aligned to students IEP goals, taking a student-centered approach for optimal growth
- Foster a structured, engaging, and positive classroom environment that supports both academic and behavioral achievement
- Implement evidence-based teaching and behavior management strategies, adapting to meet individual learning needs
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, administrative staff, and families to support holistic student success
- Be diligent in tracking student progress, maintaining comprehensive documentation in adherence to all state and federal requirements
- Take an active role in IEP meetings, contribute to evaluations, and provide thorough progress updates
