Step into an impactful role supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-27 school year, working in a contract capacity near Enoree, SC. This assignment runs from August 4, 2026, through May 27, 2027 (subject to the official school calendar), offering the unique opportunity to foster academic and social development for diverse learners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
- Holds a current South Carolina Department of Education teaching license in a Special Education area (such as Learning Disabilities, Multi-categorical, or Emotional Disabilities)
- Demonstrated expertise working with students with a range of special education needs
- Flexibility and adaptability for working with evolving caseloads
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with staff, families, and administrators
- Commitment to creating inclusive, nurturing classroom environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals for assigned students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Track student progress and adjust teaching strategies as required
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation and communicate with parents/guardians
- Partner constructively with team members and support personnel to ensure student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, school-based trainings, and ongoing professional development
