Job Description

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time elementary school assignment in Englewood, Colorado. This contracted position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative school environment.

Qualifications

  • Active Colorado Special Education Teacher License required
  • Ability to develop and implement IEPs
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience supporting students with varying academic and behavioral needs

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized instruction for elementary students
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff
  • Track student progress and maintain required documentation
  • Participate in team meetings and educational planning

Experience

  • Previous school-based experience preferred
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field
  • Colorado SPED licensure required
