Job Description
Make a meaningful impact by supporting students with special needs in the Denver area for the 2026-2027 academic year. We are seeking dedicated special education professionals who are passionate about fostering inclusive environments and individualized learning. This is a full-time contract position, working Monday through Friday, with assignments in newly established classrooms starting August 6, 2026, through May 26, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree (required)
- Active Colorado Department of Education certification with appropriate endorsement(s) based on assignment type (Early Childhood Special Ed, Special Education Generalist, Educationally Handicapped, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience working with Autism populations within a school setting
- Ability to complete a background check and fingerprinting in accordance with district policies
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in cross-categorical, functional academics, severe needs, or affective needs settings
- Collaborative mindset for panel-style interviews and team-based support
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction for students with varying needs
- Develop and implement IEP plans aligned to student abilities and educational goals
- Collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and families
- Maintain accurate records, data, and documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment supporting social-emotional growth
