Key Qualifications:

• Valid and current Exceptional Children (EC) teaching certification for the state of North Carolina
• Prior experience or a strong interest in working as a Special Education Teacher
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively manage and adapt to diverse classroom needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding EC Resource instruction to students at the elementary, middle, or high school level, based on your placement
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
• Monitor, document, and report progress toward academic and behavioral goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to enhance student achievement
• Employ innovative strategies to engage students and promote positive learning outcomes
• Maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal guidelines
