Job Description
Make a difference as an elementary special education teacher supporting students in a Resource Room environment for grades K-5. Ideal candidates will utilize their expertise to foster growth and provide individualized instruction to a caseload of approximately 25 students. In this contract-based opportunity, youll play an integral role in ensuring each childs success by tailoring educational strategies and collaborating closely with fellow educators.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for grades K-5
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Experience serving as a case manager is highly valued
- Ability to engage and differentiate instruction for diverse learners
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and intervention in a Resource Room setting
- Manage and execute the responsibilities of a case manager for assigned students, including updating and maintaining IEPs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families to ensure student needs are met
- Track student progress, adjust instructional techniques, and document outcomes
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting academic, behavioral, and social development
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations related to special education
