This full-time contract opportunity runs through late May and focuses on delivering specialized instruction in a supportive, onsite environment for a highly-engaged classroom.

You will work closely with colleagues and support staff to create a safe, structured, and nurturing educational experience for students with autism and other developmental needs. Your expertise, compassion, and dedication will help these students grow both academically and personally.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Active Kansas Special Education (SPED) Teaching License required
• Previous experience supporting early childhood or elementary students, especially in an intensive needs or autism classroom, is highly valued
• Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to creating inclusive, positive learning environments
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other educators, therapists, and families
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group instruction for students in accordance with their IEPs
• Develop and adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to support students educational, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
• Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with caregivers
• Foster engagement and independence, ensuring all students feel valued and included
