Special Education Teacher (LBS1) Elementary Autism Program
Location: Elmhurst, IL
Schedule: Full-Time | 36.25 Hours/Week
Contract Dates: August 13, 2026 November 9, 2026
Position Overview
We're seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support an elementary self-contained autism program. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working with a collaborative school team in a supportive learning environment.
Position Details
Full-time, 36.25 guaranteed hours per week
One school assignment
Elementary (3rd5th grade)
Approximately 9-student caseload
Self-contained autism classroom
Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 3:15 PM
30-minute paid lunch
Qualifications
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
Illinois LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist I) endorsement
Experience working with students with autism or in self-contained classrooms preferred
