A full-time special education teaching opportunity is available in Ellicott City, MD, offering the chance to work in a rewarding travel position within a school setting. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they receive tailored educational experiences to succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals and state standards
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate students with various disabilities
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Monitor and document student performance, behavior, and milestones regularly
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to manage behavior and create an inclusive classroom setting
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Location and Schedule:
- Position based in Ellicott City, MD
- Full-time hours with an immediate start date through June
