Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in resource classrooms serving both elementary and middle school levels. This role features six openings and is dedicated to providing specialized support to diverse learners within an onsite environment for the 2026-2027 school year.

Key Qualifications and Experience Sought:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Demonstrated experience in elementary and/or middle school special education settings
  • Strong understanding of resource classroom models and individualized instruction
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet varied student needs and foster an inclusive learning environment
  • Flexibility to work fully onsite

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's strengths and areas of need
  • Deliver targeted instruction and interventions in resource classroom settings
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Monitor student progress, record data, and make necessary adaptations to instruction
  • Foster a positive and supportive classroom culture that encourages personal growth
  • Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and school regulations
  • Participate in staff meetings, IEP meetings, and professional development sessions as required
