Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement (or eligibility)
- Previous classroom experience supporting students with IEPs and diverse learning profiles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and families
- Ability to develop and implement customized lesson plans and behavioral supports
- Flexible, patient, and positive mindset for adapting to evolving classroom dynamics
- Familiarity with educational technology and data tracking is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction to students with varying abilities, ensuring an inclusive and equitable classroom
- Develop, adapt, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) while maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Work closely with general education teachers, service providers, and families to ensure student progress and well-being
- Track student achievement and behavior, adjusting interventions and supports as needed
- Foster a nurturing, structured, and motivating learning atmosphere
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning sessions
