Make a meaningful impact working with students who have significant needs as a Special Education Teacher in a setting designed to support those with the highest behavioral and disability challenges. This is a full-time contract opportunity at a dedicated educational center that serves students from elementary through high school. The assignment runs from late September 2026 through June 2027, with daily schedules Monday through Friday.

This position involves teaching and supporting a setting 4 caseloadthe most intensive level of special education in the state. You'll collaborate with skilled staff and utilize specialized strategies and resources to help students excel academically, socially, and emotionally.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 Special Education Teaching license (required; license and resume must be presented for consideration)
• Previous experience supporting students with severe disabilities and high behavioral needs is highly desired
• Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs), data tracking, and progress monitoring
• Excellent organization, communication, and teamwork skills
• Flexibility, patience, and commitment to positive behavioral interventions

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and modify IEPs for students based on their unique learning needs
• Provide direct instruction, academic support, and behavior management in a structured, supportive classroom environment
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
• Maintain accurate records, document student progress, and participate in IEP and team meetings
• Foster an inclusive, encouraging atmosphere that maximizes student potential and safety
