Make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary students as a Special Education Teacher specializing in Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD). This onsite, contract position offers you the opportunity to engage with a dedicated team and provide essential support to students who benefit most from personalized, compassionate instruction.

In this role, you'll work a consistent MondayFriday schedule, 37.5 hours per week, with a manageable caseload of approximately nine students. Your focus will be on delivering targeted educational strategies and creating a supportive environment conducive to growth and learning.

Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Teaching License (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
• Previous experience working with students with developmental disabilities is preferred
• Strong commitment to inclusive education practices
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support and instruction to elementary students identified with developmental cognitive disabilities
• Develop and implement IEPs in accordance with state standards and student needs
• Collaborate closely with a team of educators, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure consistent progress
• Track and report on student achievement, maintaining thorough documentation
• Foster a safe, nurturing classroom environment that supports social and emotional growth
