Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (state-specific)
• Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Demonstrated experience working with students with various disabilities and learning needs
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and colleagues
• Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt learning materials
• Flexible, compassionate, and patient approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Provide direct special education instruction to students in various settings
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and school administration
• Facilitate IEP meetings and communicate regularly with parents/guardians
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation of student performance and required records
• Support a classroom environment that is engaging, safe, and respectful of all learners
