Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in an engaging K-5 environment. This onsite contract opportunity near Elizabeth, NJ runs through June 2027, working full-time from 8am to 4pm. Youll work across four school locations, serving a caseload of 30-40 students and collaborating with fellow professionals to support diverse classroom needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current New Jersey Teaching Certification for Special Education (required)
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children (K-5) preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to travel among multiple school sites as needed
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive approach toward individualized instruction and evaluation

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students with varying needs
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in cooperation with educational teams
  • Perform comprehensive student evaluations and ongoing assessments
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal standards
  • Support inclusion and promote a positive learning environment across multiple locations
