This contract, full-time position offers a dynamic schedule, with staff hours from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily. Youll work with a manageable caseload of up to eight students, ensuring each child receives individualized attention and instruction within a supportive team setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Special Education (SPED) teaching license required
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
- Demonstrated knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills
- Commitment to fostering positive and inclusive learning environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver tailored lesson plans to meet each students Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Manage all aspects of the classroom, adapting instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and related services providers to ensure comprehensive support for each student
- Write and revise IEP documents in accordance with regulations and best practices
- Maintain thorough documentation and ongoing communication with staff and parents regarding student progress
