This contract opportunity offers the unique chance to interact with a diverse range of learnersincluding Pre-K, Kindergarten, elementary (Grades K-5), middle school (Grades 6-8), and high school students (Grades 9-12). Your expertise will support academic growth and social-emotional development across multiple grade levels and subjects, including Math.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students in Pre-K, elementary, middle, or high school settings
- Strong background in differentiating instruction across academic subjects, with a focus on Math
- Familiarity with IEP goal-setting, assessment, and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability to meet diverse learner needs and create a positive classroom climate
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons and modify curriculum to meet individualized education plan (IEP) requirements
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to implement best practices
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies for continued growth
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate goals
- Foster an inclusive, supportive environment that celebrates student achievement across grade levels
