Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting a diverse student population as a Special Education Teacher across multiple grade levels. In this dynamic school environment, youll play an essential role addressing a wide range of student needs, from early childhood through high school, including specialized instruction in math and differentiated teaching methods for learners from Pre-K to 12th grade.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education (state-specific credentials required)
- Experience designing and implementing IEPs for diverse student populations
- Proven ability to adapt curriculum and instruction for elementary, middle, and high school levels
- Familiarity with specialized instructional strategies for math across K-12 grades
- Skilled in classroom management and fostering an inclusive learning environment
- Strong collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff
- Commitment to continuous professional development and best practices in special education
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute individualized education plans tailored to each students needs and grade level
- Instruct students in both individual and group settings, adapting techniques and materials as necessary for varying abilities and ages
- Collect and analyze student performance data to guide instructional decisions and IEP updates
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers to ensure program effectiveness
- Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with federal and state regulations
- Communicate consistently with parents/guardians regarding progress and goals
- Employ effective classroom management for a safe, engaged, and positive environment
