Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification and appropriate state licensure
  • Experience working with students with special needs in a school setting
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Commitment to fostering inclusion and differentiation across various learning profiles
  • Ability to collaborate closely with other educators, therapists, and families
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to the unique needs of assigned students
  • Manage classroom routines and create a positive, engaging learning environment
  • Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide direct support and accommodations as specified in student IEPs
  • Track progress, collect data, and maintain accurate records in compliance with district requirements
  • Partner with general education teachers and specialists to maximize student growth
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress
