Job Description
This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support diverse learners in an educational setting. The role involves delivering individualized instruction and fostering an inclusive classroom environment dedicated to the growth and development of students with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students unique learning requirements
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student progress
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and behavioral interventions
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting methods as needed
- Participate in team meetings and communicate regularly with parents and staff
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification with a focus on special education
- Experience working successfully with students with disabilities in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and special education laws and regulations
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
