Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid state Special Education certification
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred)
- Experience working with children who have varying disabilities and learning needs
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and assessment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to create differentiated lesson plans and instructional strategies
- Flexibility and a passion for making a difference in the lives of students
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum, teaching methods, and learning environments to meet diverse needs
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in both individual and group settings
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and compliance records
- Communicate proactively with families to foster collaborative support for student achievement
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school activities as needed
