Step into a meaningful contract role supporting K-5 students in specialized learning environments for the upcoming academic year. Multiple full-time opportunities are open for credentialed special education teachers eager to make a daily impact in dynamic, highly supportive school settings. With a variety of classroom models, youll help provide transformative education to students with significant needs.

Available assignments include:

• An ASD/DCD center-based classroom focused on students (6-8 per class) with cognitive disabilities, alternative communication devices, and mobility-related needs. Alternative curriculum delivery and assistance with daily living skills and self-care are integral components.
• An A+ classroom for children (8-12 per class) primarily identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder, emphasizing modified curriculum and the development of regulation skills to boost participation in inclusive educational activities.
• A MAPD classroom designed for students (8-12 per class) with emotional behavior disorders, utilizing personalized approaches to facilitate academic growth and emotional regulation.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid and active Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (required for all applicants)
• Experience supporting students with ASD, cognitive disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, or multiple disabilities
• Strong collaboration skills for working alongside paraprofessionals, therapists, and families
• Ability to implement individualized education plans and utilize alternative and adaptive curriculum
• Familiarity with adaptive equipment, AAC devices, and sensory regulation strategies is highly valued

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction and behavioral support in a center-based classroom
• Modify curriculum and instructional routines to meet varied learning, communication, and daily living needs
• Monitor student progress, complete required documentation, and regularly communicate with families and staff
• Foster positive, safe, and structured classroom environments
